The CC [TPM] switch is located at the top left of the steering column module (N80).
Task
The CC [TPM] switch has the following tasks:
- Activating and deactivating the DISTRONIC function or the Variable Speed Limiter
- Increasing and decreasing the specified speed (for DISTRONIC) or the maximum speed (for Variable Speed Limiter) in 1 km/h or in 10 km/h increments (two settings)

When the cruise control pushbutton switch is operated, two contacts are always closed simultaneously. The actual input is made by closure of the accelerate and set contact (storage of maximum/specified speed). The safety contact (S40/4s5) must close simultaneously so that the entry is accepted.
The signals from the CC [TPM] push button switch are read in by the steering column tube module and transmitted to the ESP, SPS [PML] and BAS control unit (N47-5) via the engine compartment CAN (CAN C) for evaluation.
