- refinement package
- as of model year 09
Component Identification:
Location
The right door control unit is located on the door module of the right door behind the door panel.
Task
The right door control unit has the following tasks:
^ Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
^ Evaluation of input factors
^ Actuation of components
Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
The input factors are read in via:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN
Direct line
The following sensors are read in via a direct line:
- Right front IR receiver (A26/2)
- Hall sensor in right front power window motor (M10/4)
- Mirror adjustment up/down potentiometer (M21/2r2) (with code (241) Memory switch for left electrically adjustment driver seat)
- Mirror adjustment in/out potentiometer (M21/2r3) (with code (241) Memory switch for left electrically adjustment driver seat)
- Front passenger power window switch (S21/2)
- Right seat adjustment switch group (S92/2) (with code (242) Electrically adjustable passenger seat with memory)
- seat fore/aft switch (S92/2s1)
- Rear seat height switch (S92/2s2)
- Front seat height switch (S92/2s3)
- Head restraint raise/lower switch (S92/2s4)
- Backrest switch (S92/2s5)
- Memory position switch 1 (S92/2s6)
- Memory position switch 2 (S92/2s7)
- Memory position switch 3 (S92/2s8)
- Memory switch (S92/2s9)
- Seat cushion back/forth switch (S92/2s10)
- Seat ventilation switch (S92/2s17) (with code (401) Front comfort seats incl. seat heater and seat ventilation)
- Seat heater stage 1 and 2 switch (S92/2s18) (with code (873) Left and right front seat heater)
- right AIRCRAFT switch (S92/2s21) (with code (403) Aircraft system)
The right seat adjustment switch group is read in by the right door control unit via a serial bi-directional single-wire interface (switching bus), transmitted to the interior CAN and read in by the right front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/2).
Interior CAN
The following signals are read in by the lower control panel control unit (N72) via interior CAN:
- Outside mirror adjustment switch (N72s7)
- Left or right outside mirror adjustment selection switch (N72s8)
- Outside mirror fold-in/out switch (N72s19) (with code (500) Left/right folding outside mirror)
The following signals are read in by the left door control unit (N69/1) via interior CAN:
- Requests to adjust power window lift (PW)
- Requests to adjust the right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2)
The right door control unit supplies the connected controls with power from circuit 58d.
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
Components are actuated with the following lines:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN
Direct line
The following components are actuated via a direct line:
- Right outside mirror turn signal lamp (E6/6)
- Right door entrance/exit lamp (E17/4)
- Right door inside handle illumination (E17/12)
- Right front power window motor (M10/4)
- Automatic mirror dimming (M21/2h1 ) (for code (249) Automatically dimming inside rearview mirror and outside mirror (driver))
- Mirror up/down adjustment motor (M21/2m1)
- Mirror in/out adjustment motor (M21/2m2)
- Mirror fold-in motor (M21/2m3) (with code (500) Folding left/right outside mirrors)
- Mirror heater (M21/2r1)
Interior CAN
The following signals are transmitted via interior CAN:
- Status of power window (PW), passenger-side to left door control unit and RVC control unit (N52)
- Seat adjustment requests to passenger-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory
The right door control unit supplies the connected controls with power from circuit 58d.
