GF07.03-P-6010CY Component Description For The Fuel Injection Valves
- up to model year 08
Component Identification:
Injection valves are inserted below the fuel manifold into the intake ports of cylinder heads.
Component Identification:
The diameter and number of outlet holes in the multi-hole nozzle (a) are adjusted to fuel requirements of the respective engine (engine performance).
Function
When the solenoid coil (5) is energized, the nozzle needle (8) is raised about 0.1 mm by the solenoid armature (6) against the force of the coil spring (13).
The fuel escapes through the multi-hole nozzle (a) and is sprayed into the intake port in a finely atomized spray.
Each of the injection values are directly actuated sequentially by correspondingly long mass impulses from the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10).
The voltage is supplied via the ME-SFI [ME] control unit from "circuit 87 M".
Sequential actuation means that each cylinder is allocated a fuel quantity (injection quantity) specifically calculated for it.
