DANGER!
- Injury hazard from roll bar extending
- Before working in the area of the roll bar pull rear head restraints out by hand.
- Risk of injury. Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities.
- Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.
- Risk of injury to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning from swallowing hydraulic fluid.
- Release the pressure in the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.


1 Remove rear seat and rear backrest
2 Remove side paneling in rear
3 Close soft top

NOTE: Leave soft top bow and soft top compartment cover in upright position

4 Cover vehicle in rear area

NOTE: To prevent scratching the paint during assembly work.

5 Expose hydraulic lines (6) and (7)

CAUTION!
If necessary, detach tie strap and electric leads to prevent leads from damage.


6 Remove fuse (2) from bolt (1).
7 Pull out bolt (1)
8 Remove fuse (4) from bolt (3).
9 Pull out bolt (3)
10 Remove hydraulic cylinder (5)
11 Remove locking plates (8) of hydraulic lines (6) and (7)
12 Pull hydraulic lines (6) and (7) out of hydraulic cylinder (5)
13 Plug hydraulic lines (6) and (7) with plug

NOTE: Use plug from brake caliper vent nipple

14 Install in reverse order
15 Check for proper function and leakage
