AR82.30-P-6100-01CW Adjust Wiper Arms
Wiper Arm Test And Adjustment Values:
Special Tools:
The setting of the angle of incidence on the driver-side wiper arm and passengerside wiper arm is always done in the parked position and only when the check values differentiate from the tolerance range in the reverse or parked position. In doing so, the driver-side wiper arm or front passengerside wiper arm is distorted by at least the value of the tolerance deviation in reverse position.
Use adjustment levers (Z4) from adjustment tool set.
The relevant sign of the test and adjustment values must be changed for right-hand drive vehicles.
Shown on driver-side wiper arm in parked position
1 Mount angle gauge (A) with adapter (B) onto the wiper arm to be adjusted.
2 Lower wiper arm until all three contact points of the base of the angle measuring device (A) touch the windshield.
3 Place adjustment levers (Z4) as far apart from each other as possible on this wiper arm.
The wiper arm is twisted with the aid of the adjuster lever (Z4), which was positioned close to the angle measuring device (A). The second adjuster lever (Z4) is used as a counterholder.
4 Press adjustment lever (Z4) in the required direction until the wiper arm is at least distorted by the value of the tolerance deviation in reverse position.
5 Remove adjuster lever (Z4) from wiper arm.
6 Read off angle of incidence for adjusted wiper arm on scale of angle gauge (A), note it down and compare against the test and adjustment values, adjust again if necessary.
7 Remove angle gauge (A) with adapter (B) from adjusted wiper arm.
