Special Tools:

Component Identification:

1 Remove main shifter shaft (1).
2 Remove bolts (2, 4 ea.) for securing shift unit (3).
3 Place input shaft (4) on main shaft (6).
4 Place assembly plate (01) on input shaft (4) and countershaft (5).
Countershaft (5) with dia. 25 mm: Use assembly plate 210 589 01 31 00. Countershaft (5) with dia. 32 mm: Use assembly plate 716 589 00 31 00.

Component Identification:

5 Clamp transmission on assembly plate (01) into vise.
6 Mount bracket (02, 03) on rear section of transmission housing.

7 Pull rear section of transmission housing off output shaft (7) using puller (04) and jaws (05).

Component Identification:

8 Remove the shift unit (3).
9 Remove output shaft (7), countershaft (5) and main shaft (6).
