Component Identification:

Shown on model 171 with transmission 722.6
1 Remove cover on crankcase.

Installation: Ensure that the cover is seated correctly.

2 Remove bolts (5) of torque converter from driven plate.

Continue turning the engine in the direction of engine rotation using socket or counterholder on the crankshaft. If the crankshaft is not accessible, continue turning the engine using a wide screwdriver on the torque converter.

Installation: Before installing the transmission, align the tapped holes of the torque converter and holes in the drive plate.
Engine 651: Use counterholder 651 589 00 40 00.

Except engine 651: Use socket 001 589 65 09 00.
