Location
The right front door control unit is located on the door module behind the door lining.

Task
The right front door control unit has the following tasks:
^ Reading in of signals
^ Evaluation of input factors
^ Actuation of components

Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in with the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Right front door LIN (LIN B6)
^ Interior CAN (CAN B)

Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via a direct line:
- Infrared remote control receiver, front door on passenger side (A26/2) (with code (498) Japanese version)
- Right front door rotary tumbler switch (A85/1s1)
- Passenger-side power window switch (S21/2)
- Right front door central locking inside door handle switch (S85/6)
- CL open switch (S85/6s1)
- CL close switch (S85/6s2)

Right front door LIN
The following sensors are read in via the front door LIN:
- Left front seat adjustment switch group (S23) (with code (275) Memory package for electrically adjustable front seats))
- Right front head restraint adjustment switch (S23s1)
- Right front seat inclination adjustment switch (S23s2)
- Right front seat fore/aft adjustment switch (S23s3)
- Right front seat height adjustment switch (S23s4)
- Right front seat backrest adjustment switch (S23s5)
- Right front memory function switch (S23s6)
- Right front memory switch 1 (S23s7)
- Right front memory switch 2 (S23s8)
- Right front memory switch 3 (S23s9)

The right front door control unit supplies the connected control elements with c. 58d.

Interior CAN
The signals are read in via the interior CAN.
The functions resulting therefrom are described in the corresponding function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).

Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.

- Right outside mirror turn signal lamp (E6/6)
- Right front door power window motor (M10/4)
- Right outside mirror (M21/2):
- Vertical inclination adjustment actuator motor (M21/2m1)
- Horizontal inclination adjustment actuator motor (M21/2m2)
- Outside mirror fold-in/out electric motor (M21/2m3) (with code (249) Automatically dimming interior rearview mirror and outside mirror, including folding outside mirror, and without code (494) USA version)
- Mirror heater (M21/2r1)
