- with CODE (U42) BlueTEC diesel exhaust treatment (SCR)

Component Identification:





Drain
1 Attach rear apron protector and expose AdBlue(R) tank in the cargo area.

2 Unscrew cover (1) for the AdBlue(R) filler neck (2).
3 Open AdBlue(R) filler neck (2).

4 Cover all of the AdBlue(R) filler neck (2) with foil (3) and absorbent paper (4).

5 Extract AdBlue(R) using the extraction pump (5) via the AdBlue(R) filler neck (2).

Secure extraction pump (5) against falling out.

Observe arrow on the extraction pump (5) for direction of suction!

6 Flush out extraction pump (5) after suctioning off with water to clean it.

Always flush out extraction pump (5) with water to avoid malfunctions.

Fill
The filling tools are designed in such a way that a fill-free space remains after switching them off in the AdBlue(R) tank. Never pour in more AdBlue(R) after switching off otherwise there a risk of damaging the AdBlue(R) tank!

Filling the pump from a large container
7.1 Insert nozzle (6) for electrical pump unit in the AdBlue(R) filler neck (2) right up to the stop ring (7).
8.1 Fill AdBlue(R) tank.

The nozzle (6) switches off automatically when the AdBlue(R) tank is full.

9.1 Remove nozzle (6) from AdBlue(R) filler neck (2).

7.2 Mount fitting (01), close valve (02) and screw connector (03) onto AdBlue(R) filler neck (2) as well as connector (04) into container (05) finger-tight.
8.2 Fill the AdBlue(R) tank by lifting the container (05) and opening the valve (02).

Repeat process if necessary with further containers (05).

No further AdBlue(R) will flow when the AdBlue(R) tank is full.

9.2 Close valve (02) and detach connections (03, 04).

Filling bottles
7.3 Remove cap and screw AdBlue(R) bottle (8) finger-tight onto the AdBlue(R) filler neck (2).
8.3 Fill AdBlue(R) tank by pressing AdBlue(R) bottle (8) downwards.

Repeat process if necessary with further AdBlue(R) bottles (8).

No further AdBlue(R) will flow when the AdBlue(R) tank is full.

9.3 Unscrew AdBlue(R) bottle (8) from AdBlue(R) filler neck (2) and dispose of it.
10 Remove foil (3) and paper (4).

Do not allow any paper (4) to find its way into the AdBlue(R) tank otherwise there is risk of damage to the AdBlue(R) delivery module (A103/2).

11 Remove the rest of the AdBlue(R).
12 Close AdBlue(R) filler neck (2).
13 Screw on cover (1) for the AdBlue(R) filler neck (2).
14 Install exposed detachable parts via the AdBlue(R) tank in the cargo area and remove rear apron protector.
