Component Identification:

Location
The stationary heater control unit is integrated into the stationary heater unit, which is located in the front section of the right wheel arch.

Task
The stationary heater control unit performs the following tasks:
^ Reading in of signals
^ Evaluation of input factors
^ Actuation of components

Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in with the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN (CAN B)

Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via a direct line:
- Stationary heater radio remote control receiver (A6/1)
- Stationary heater flame monitor glow plug (A6r4)
- Stationary heater temperature sensor (A6b1)
- Stationary heater thermal fuse (A6f1)

If the temperature of T = 125 �C is exceeded in the stationary heater unit, the stationary heater thermal fuse detects overheating and triggers the heater unit fault run-on process for approx. t = 120 s followed by a fault interlock.

Interior CAN
The following signals are read in over the interior CAN:
by the electronic ignition switch control unit (N73):
- Circuit status
From front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1):
- Status of stationary heater button (N72/1s30) over the instrument panel LIN (LIN 1)
From the instrument cluster (A1):
- Status of left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110) and right multifunction steering wheel button group (S111) to steering wheel electronics (N135) and from there over the steering LIN (LIN E1) to the steering column tube module control unit (N80) and from there over the chassis CAN (CAN E)

Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.

- Stationary heater combustion air blower (A6m2)
- Stationary heater radio remote control receiver
- Stationary heater glow plug flame monitor
- Stationary heater shutoff valve (A6y2) (diesel engine)
- Stationary heater fuel preheating system (A6r5) (diesel engine)
- Stationary heater switchover valve (Y16)
- Stationary heater fuel pump (Y23)

Interior CAN
The following components are actuated with the interior CAN: By the front SAM control unit:
- Status of stationary heater button over instrument panel LIN
