AH42.10-P-9406-07RQ Notes on Evaluating Brake Disks
- with CODE (B07) Ceramic brake system

A Chippings on the friction surfaces
B Chippings on edge of brake disk ring
C Chippings on perforation bores

Always check the inner and outside of the brake disk for damage

The following damage can occur:
a) Chippings on the friction surfaces
b) Chippings on edge of brake disk ring
c) Chippings on perforation bores

A) Chippings on the friction surfaces
Chippings on the friction surface can occur due to thermal stresses. A max. 3 chippings up to a size of 400 mm 2 und max. 2 mm deep are permissible for each brake disk.

B) Chippings on edge of brake disk ring
Chippings on edge of brake disk ring can occur due to thermal stresses or collisions. A maximum of 3 chippings with the following dimensions are permissible for each brake disk: Length in circumferential direction: max. 25 mm
Width in direction of friction surface: max. 8 mm
Deep: max. 3 mm

C) Chippings on perforation holes
Chippings on perforation bores can occur due to thermal stresses.
They are permissible up to a length, width and depth of 3 mm in each case.

The smaller chippings shown are normal, have no influence on brake power or durability and are therefore not the subject of complaint.
