AZ88.50-P-0005-02EW Install Spoiler On Trunk Lid
- except CODE (772) AMG styling package - front spoiler, side skirts, and rear apron

Repair Materials:

Helper required to assemble rear spoiler (1).

1. Install rear spoiler (1) on trunk lid, center and mark position with adhesive tape (3).

Ensure that the distance to the outside sides is the same on left and right.

2. Cut adhesive tape (3) with suitable knife in gap between rear spoiler (1) and trunk lid.

Do not damage paint layer on trunk lid or rear spoiler (1).

3. Remove rear spoiler (1) and clean trunk lid in bonding area.

The area on the trunk lid to be glued must be free of dust and grease.

4. Remove protective foils (4) on side adhesive strips from rear spoiler (1).

5. Slightly remove protective foils (5) from adhesive strips on rear spoiler (1) at ends and bend 45° in direction of outer edge.

If necessary, fix bent protective foils (5) in place on outside of rear spoiler (1) with adhesive tape.

6. Place rear spoiler (1) on trunk lid and align to previously attached adhesive tape (3).

7. Remove protective foil (5) in increments of 15 to 20 cm starting at one side and firmly press on rear spoiler (1).

When pressing on, press directly on adhesive strips on rear spoiler (1) to prevent adhesion problems. The maximum adhesive force is reached after approx. 72 hours at 20 °C! Avoid any contact with moisture (e.g. rain, fog, carwash) within the first 24 hours. Prevent any mechanical stress.

Do not remove protective foil (5) all at once. To increase the processing reliability when installing rear spoiler (1), press finally rear spoiler (1) down on trunk lid using a clean cotton rag, starting at one side.

8. Remove adhesive tape (3).
