AZ88.20-P-0010-02EW Install Spoiler On Front Bumper.

Repair Materials:

The following steps are shown on model 212.0 with code (954) Avantgarde.







1. Clean bonding surfaces on bumper.

The area to be glued must be free of dust and grease.

2. Remove dome on expansion rivet (2 and 3) from bumper.







Helper required to assemble front spoiler (1).

3. Install front spoiler (1) on bumper, center and mark position with adhesive tape (4).

Ensure that the distance to the outside sides is the same on left and right.







4. Check position of front spoiler (1) with gauge included in installation kit.

Only on vehicles with code (955) Elegance.







5. Mark position of front spoiler (1) as shown on bumper.







6. Cut adhesive tape (4) with knife in gap between front spoiler (1) and bumper.

Do not damage paint layer on bumper or front spoiler (1).

7. Remove front spoiler (1)







8. Slide sheet metal nuts (6) onto retaining clamps (5) (arrows).

Four sheet metal nuts (6) and four retaining clamps (5) are included in the part kit.







9. Slide retaining clamps (5) onto bumper to previously marked positions.







10. Remove protective foils (8) on side adhesive strips from front spoiler (1).

11. Slightly remove protective foils (7) from adhesive strips on front spoiler (1) at ends and bend 45° in direction of outer edge.

If necessary, fix bent protective foils (7) in place on outside of front spoiler (1) with adhesive tape.







12. Place front spoiler (1) on bumper and align to previously attached adhesive tape (4).
13. Remove protective foil starting at center to both sides in increments of 15 to 20 cm and firmly press on front spoiler (1).

When pressing on, press directly on adhesive strips on front spoiler (1) to prevent adhesion problems. The maximum adhesive force is reached after approx. 72 hours at 20 °C! Avoid any contact with moisture (e.g. rain, fog, carwash) within the first 24 hours. Prevent any mechanical stress.

Do not remove protective foil all at once. To increase processing reliability when installing front spoiler (1), conclude by pressing front spoiler (1) down on bumper using clean cotton rag, starting at one side.

14. Remove adhesive tape (4).







15. Check position of front spoiler (1) with gauge included in installation kit.

16. Tighten front spoiler (1) with bolts (9) included in installation kit.
