GF91.60-P-2011FL Deploying of Pyrofuse, Function

GF91.60-P-2011FL Deploying of pyrofuse, function

General function requirements
^ C. 15R On

The status of circuit 15 is sent by the electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) via chassis CAN (CAN E) to the supplemental restraint system control unit (N2/10).

Function sequence for triggering the pyrofuse
The central line to the on-board electrical system battery is located within the housing of the pyrofuse as a line rail (3) with predetermined fracture point.

After a crash event occurs, the pyrofuse 150 (F32f150) is actuated directly by the supplemental restraint system control unit.

Pressure builds in the chamber (1) when the pyrofuse is triggered. The piston (2) then moves against the predetermined fracture point and thus disconnects the line rail.

Time lapse:
After t = 300 microseconds the piston movement begins
After t = 450 microseconds, the separation of the line rail is complete.

Deploying of pyrofuse, general
To avoid a possible risk of fire following a crash event, it is necessary to disconnect the on-board electrical system battery (G1) quickly and reliably from the on-board electrical system.
