1 Wrap felt tape (3) around white 4-pin coupling (2) of cigarette lighter or 12 V socket.
2 Strap down wiring harness of cigarette lighter or 12 V socket and fix white 4- pin coupling (2) in place at vehicle wiring harness with cable tie (4).
3 Route taximeter branch-off line (5) through lower opening in center console (1) into installation area of stowage compartment or front ashtray housing.
The taximeter branch-off lines (5) remain, as shown, lying. They are used later on to connect the taximeter.






4 Connect electrical connector (10) by joining the blue, 2-pin coupling (6) of the adapter wiring harness to the blue, 2-pin connector (8) of the taxi/rental vehicle wiring harness.
5 Connect voice control system electrical connector (X18/46) by joining the blue, 4-pin coupling (7) of the adapter wiring harness to the blue, 4-pin connector (9) of the taxi/rental vehicle wiring harness.
When retrofitting code (938) Preinstallation for hands-free two-way radio.






6 Wrap felt tape (12) around the two electrical connectors and slide back into the center console (1).
7 Slide back mobile phone electrical connector (X39/37) into center console (1).
Only on vehicles with code (386) Comfort telephony.

8 Close cover (13) at center console (1).
