GF68.05-P-0001FL Garage Door Opener, Function
GF68.05-P-0001FL Garage Door Opener, Function
- with CODE (231) Garage door opener
- with CODE (232) Garage door opener with frequency 284-390 MHz
General function requirements
^ C. 15R On
The circuit 15R status is sent by the electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) over the interior CAN (CAN B) to the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
Garage door opener, general
The garage door opener (A67n2) is a remote control capable of learning with which various receivers of the opening and locking systems for doors or gates can be activated.
The garage door opener is integrated into the inside rearview mirror (A67).
The vehicle electrical system is connected to the front SAM control unit via the wiper/inside rearview mirror LIN (LIN 2).
The garage door opener radio signal has a range of approx. 85 % of the original hand transmitter.
The garage door opener system comprises the following partial functions:
^ Function sequence, transmit radio signal
^ Function sequence, program the memories
^ Function sequence, erase the memories
^ Function sequence for resetting to as-delivered state
^ Function sequence for protection against misuse
Function sequence, transmit radio signal
When one of the following buttons is pressed, a radio signal assigned to this memory is transmitted:
- Button 1 garage door opener (A67s1)
- Button 2 garage door opener (A67s2)
- Button 3 garage door opener (A67s3)
Function feedback is accomplished via the garage door opener indicator lamp (A67e4).
Function sequence, programming the memories
Keep desired button pressed for at least t = 20 s. As a result the system changes into learning mode which is displayed by the flashing of the garage door opener with f = 1 Hz. Continue to press selected button and hold original hand transmitter close to the garage opener transmitter unit with transmitter function activated for up to t = 90 s (s = 3 to 20 cm). The transmission frequency is now learnt. In the process the garage door opener searches for the suitable frequency amongst the possible transmission frequencies.
If the learning process is completed, this is confirmed by rapid flashing of the garage door opener indicator lamp with f = 5.6 Hz.
If the original hand transmitter is not compatible with the garage door opener, a universal receiver ("Fix Kit Receiver") which reacts to the in-plant programming of the garage door opener can be installed in the garage.
Function sequence, erase the memories
To erase the memories, press the two outer buttons (buttons 1 and 3) simultaneously for a period of a least t = 20 s. The garage door opener indicator lamp flashes for a period of t = 10 s. Release the buttons again during the flashing phase. The existing data of the memory locations is erased.
The garage door opener goes to the learn-in mode when one of the three buttons is pressed again.
If no programming is performed in learning mode during a period of t = 100 s, the garage door opener switches off automatically to protect the on-board electrical system.
Function sequence for resetting to as-delivered state
To reset press the two outer buttons (buttons 1 and 3) simultaneously for at least t = 30 s.
adjustment:
- "Chamberlain"- algorithm (f = 310 MHz)
Function sequence to protect against misuse
With each communication the front SAM control unit transmits a security code to the garage door opener via wiper/inside rearview mirror LIN. If the safety code transmitted does not coincide with the stored safety code, the channels learned in are erased. However, the national coding is maintained.
