1 Wrap felt tape around branch-off line of center instrument panel speaker (a) of the InCar Internet adapter wiring harness (3).
2 Connect black 44-pin plug (6) of InCar Internet adapter wiring harness (3) to black 44-pin coupling (7) of vehicle wiring harness.
3 Remove black, 2-pin coupling for optical fiber (11) from black, 44-pin coupling (7), and install in black, 44-pin coupling (4).
Only for vehicles with one of the following codes:
- Code (518) Media Interface
- Code (537) Digital radio
- Code (810) Sound system
- Code (863) Digital/analog TV tuner
4 Route InCar Internet adapter wiring harness (3) into installation opening at bottom left.
The black 44-pin coupling (4) will be connected at a later stage to the COMAND controller unit. The InCar Internet adapter wiring harness (3) obstructs the installation of the COMAND controller unit because of its size.
The COMAND controller unit can only be installed if the InCar Internet adapter wiring harness (3) is as low down as possible in the rear area of the automatic air conditioning control and operating unit.
5 Route black, 32-pin coupling (5) of InCar Internet adapter wiring harness (3) into the front passenger footwell.
The black, 32-pin coupling (5) is connected to the InCar Internet control unit at a later stage.
6 Route black, 2-pin plug (10) and black, 2-pin coupling (9) of InCar Internet adapter wiring harness (3), as shown, through the cable duct of the Low Voltage Differential Signal (LVDS) display wiring harness to the installation location of the center instrument panel speaker.
7 Remove insulation mat (12)
8 Detach black, 2-pin coupling (8) from center instrument panel speaker (H4/27).
On vehicles with code (810) Sound system.
Perform operation steps 9 to 13 only for vehicles without code (810) Sound system.
9 Use long wedge to carefully unclip cover (13) until the black, 3-pin coupling (14) is accessible.
10 Detach black 3-pin coupling (14) and remove covering (13).
11 Clip center instrument panel speaker (H4/27) included as part of the package contents into the two specified supports.
12 Connect black, 3-pin coupling (14) to the sun sensor.
13 Carefully clip in the cover (13).
14.1 Connect black, 2-pin plug (10) to black 2-pin coupling (8) of vehicle wiring harness.
The black, 2-pin coupling (8) was connected to the center instrument panel speaker.
On vehicles with code (810) Sound system.
14.2 Strap down black 2-pin plug (10) to branch-off line of InCar Internet adapter wiring harness (3) and wrap with felt tape.
In vehicles without code (810) Sound system.
15 Connect black 2-pin coupling (9) to center instrument panel speaker.
