1 Expose mobile phone electrical connector (X39/37) below center console (10).
2 Push back foam sheath (11) until inside out and disconnect mobile phone electrical connector (X39/37).

3 Lift center console (10) and support with an assembly wedge (12) as shown.
4 Feed through pull-through device (13) below rear floor covering (14) centrally along propeller shaft tunnel to center console (10).
5 Fasten cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (8) to pull-through device (13) and pull through cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot control unit antenna line (8) below rear floor covering (14) to center console (10).
6 Detach cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (8) from pull-through device (13).

7 Wrap cellular telephone system splitter (2) with felt tape, as shown.
8 Plug black coupling of cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (8) onto connector (arrow C) at cellular telephone system splitter (2).

9 Position cellular telephone system splitter (2) below center console (10), lift center console (10) and remove assembly wedge.
The cellular telephone system splitter (2) and the electrical lines routed into the center console (10) must be at a sufficient distance to the center console attachment points. Otherwise these may be damaged when fastening the center console (10).

10 Connect violet coupling of vehicle/cellular telephone system splitter antenna line (7) and violet connector (15) of mobile phone electrical connector to one another.
11 Connect violet connector of cellular telephone system splitter/ vehicle antenna line (9) and violet coupling (16) of mobile phone electrical connector to one another and push back foam sheath (11) until it is right-side out.
12 Stow all created connectors in the center console (10).

13 Route cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot control unit antenna line (8), as shown, to left rear seat backrest and fix in place at body using strips of felt tape.
14 Release left rear seat backrest and fix in place folded forward at an angle of approx. 45°.
15 Route cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot control unit antenna line (8) under the left rear seat backrest into the cargo area and fasten in place using felt tape.

16 Route cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (8), as shown, into trunk crossmember, and route out of opening (arrow C) to the trunk crossmember.
17.1 Route cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (8) along the Bowden cable for the left rear backrest release (13) to InCar Hotspot (1) and fasten in place with existing omega clips.
On vehicles with code (287) Through-loading feature.

17.2 Fasten cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (8) using the omega clips contained in the package contents to the body and route to the InCar Hotspot (1).
For vehicles without code (287) Through-loading feature

18 Plug violet coupling of cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (8) on connector (arrow D) at InCar Hotspot (1).

19 Wrap felt tape around 1000 mm long section of power supply wiring harness (6) from white 4-pin coupling (3).
The power supply wiring harness (6) consists of the brown line, red line and the black line.

20 Connect white 4-pin coupling (3) to InCar Hotspot (1).
21 Route power supply wiring harness (6), as shown, to right side of vehicle and fasten using the omega clips (14) contained in the package contents, and a cable tie (15) to the body.

22 Route power supply wiring harness (6) along the existing wiring harnesses to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).

23 Install red line (rt) into contact cavity 1 of black 2-pin coupling (4) and fasten with cable ties to given wiring harness.
The individual contact cavities are numbered on the housing of the black 2-pin coupling (4).

24 Insert black 2-pin coupling (4) into slot (arrow E) on rear of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
The slot of the black 2-pin coupling (4) is marked at the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) with the designation "10R".

25.1 Release and remove blue fuse carrier (5) at rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
On vehicles with existing blue fuse carrier (5).

25.2 Remove blue fuse carrier (5) from parts kit.
On vehicles without blue fuse carrier (5).

26 Install black line (sw) into contact cavity 4 (arrow F) of blue fuse carrier (5).
27 Insert and lock blue fuse carrier (5) in slot "13A" at rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
28 Insert electrical fuse 55 (N10/2f55) in blue fuse carrier (5) and electrical fuse 91 (N10/2f91) in rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
The electrical fuse 55 (N10/2f55) and the electrical fuse 91 (N10/2f91) must each have a fuse rating of 7.5 A.

29 Route brown line (br), as shown, along given wiring harnesses depending on the assignment to the right rear wheel arch ground point (W7) or to the right wheel arch trunk ground point (W7/8) and fasten in place using cable ties.
The right rear wheel arch ground point (W7) or right wheel arch trunk ground point (W7/8) must not have any more than five assigned lines.

30 Fasten brown line (br) to right rear wheel arch ground point (W7) or right wheel arch trunk ground point (W7/8).
31 Strap down excess length of brown line (br) and fix in place at existing wiring harness using a cable tie.
