The following installation instructions describe how to install the radio activation switch (S93/2) and the 12 V power outlet. The radio activation switch (S93/2) is only installed, if code (938) Preinstallation for hands-free two-way radio is to be retrofitted.

1 Clip radio activation switch (S93/2) into paneling (1).
The radio activation switch (S93/2) can only be clipped in in a single position to the paneling (1).






2 Place center console (2) onto a workbench and open the cover (4) of the stowage compartment.
3 Remove compartment (5).
4 Remove screw (6) under the compartment (5).
5 First unclip the front catch hook (arrow A), then the side catch hook (arrows B) and remove the cup holder cover (7)
6 Open roller cover on cup holder (3).
7 Unclip cup holder (8) using a small screwdriver (arrows C) and remove.






8 Remove rubber insert (9) from stowage compartment.
9 Close lid (4) of stowage compartment and turn center console (2).






10 Break out cutout (10) at perforation and expose opening (arrow D) on center console (2).






11 Route black 2-pin coupling and black 4- pin coupling of adapter wiring harness (11) through the opening (arrow D) into the stowage compartment in the center console (2).
12 Hook adapter wiring harness (11) into holder (12).
13 Route adapter wiring harness (11), as shown, at side on center console (2) to the rear.
14 Fasten adapter wiring harness (11) using felt tape (13) to center console (2).
15 Route blue 2-pin coupling (15) and blue 4-pin coupling (14) through the opening (arrow E) into the center console (2).






16 Make cutout (9.1) on rubber insert (9) according to dimensions (a) on left front corner.

Dimension:
a = 10 mm






17 Turn center console (2).
18 Place rubber insert (9) into center console (2).
19 Connect black 2-pin coupling (16) of adapter wiring harness (11) to 12 V power outlet (18).
20 Connect black 4-pin coupling (17) to radio activation switch (S93/2).






21 Position paneling (1) with lateral guides (arrow G) above bars (arrows F) on center console (2).
22 Push paneling (1) downwards until it latches audibly into center console (2).






23 Remove rubber bump (arrow H) from cup holder cover (7).
24 Open lid (4) of stowage compartment.
25 Insert cup holder cover (7) into the rear area (arrow J), then clip in the catch hooks at the side (arrows B), and finally, clip the cup holder cover (7) into the front area.
26 Tighten screw (6) of cup holder cover (7).
27 Insert compartment (5).
28 Close roller cover (3) and lid (4) of stowage compartment on center console (2).
