Component Identification:
1 Disconnect electrical connector for multifunction antenna (A28/11x3) and connect black connector of antenna line for vehicle/mobile phone splitter (7) and coupling of antenna line for multifunction antenna (10).
2 Connect black coupling of antenna line for mobile phone splitter/vehicle (9) as well as connector of antenna line for vehicle (11).
3 Wind felt tape around entire antenna line for mobile phone splitter/InCar hotspot (8), feed through opening (arrow A) in partition wall into trunk crossmember.
4 Plug black coupling of antenna line for mobile phone splitter/ InCar hotspot (8) into connector (arrow B) on mobile phone splitter (2).
5 Fix mobile phone splitter (2) in place using cable ties (12) on existing wiring harness and wind felt tape around everything.
6 Route antenna line for mobile phone splitter/InCar hotspot (8) as illustrated along trunk crossmember and lead out of opening (arrow C) from trunk crossmember.
7.1 Route antenna line for mobile phone splitter/InCar hotspot (8) along Bowden cable for left rear seat backrest release (13) to InCar hotspot (1) and fix in place using existing omega clips.
On vehicles with code (287) Through-loading feature.
7.2 Fix antenna line for mobile phone splitter/InCar hotspot (8) in place on body using the omega clips included in package contents and route to InCar hotspot (1).
For vehicles without code (287) Through-loading feature.
8 Plug violet coupling of antenna line for mobile phone splitter/ InCar hotspot (8) into connector (arrow D) on InCar hotspot (1).
9 Wind felt tape around 1000 mm long section of power supply wiring harness (6) starting at white 4-pin coupling (3).
The power supply wiring harness (6) consists of the brown line, the red line, and the black line.
10 Connect white 4-pin coupling (3) to InCar hotspot (1).
11 Route power supply wiring harness (6) as illustrated to right side of vehicle and fix in place on body using omega clips (14) included in package contents and a cable tie (15).
12 Route power supply wiring harness (6) along existing wiring harnesses to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
13 Install red line (rt) in contact cavity 1 of black 2-pin coupling (4) and fix in place on existing wiring harness using cable ties.
The individual contact cavities are numbered on the housing of the black 2-pin coupling (4).
14 Insert black 2-pin coupling (4) into slot (arrow E) on rear side of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
The slot of the black 2-pin coupling (4) is marked on the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) with the designation "10R".
15.1 Release blue fuse carrier (5) on rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and remove.
On vehicles with existing blue fuse carrier (5).
15.2 Remove blue fuse carrier (5) from parts kit.
On vehicles without blue fuse carrier (5).
16 Install black line (sw) in slot for electrical fuse 55 (N10/2f55) (arrow F) in blue fuse carrier (5).
17 Insert blue fuse carrier (5) into slot "13A" on rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and lock.
18 Insert electrical fuse 55 (N10/2f55) into blue fuse carrier (5) and electrical fuse 91 (N10/2f91) into rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
The electrical fuse 55 (N10/2f55) and the electrical fuse 91 (N10/2f91) must have a fuse rating of 7.5 A each.
19 Route brown line (br) as illustrated along existing wiring harnesses depending on assignment to ground point of rear right wheel arch (W7) or ground point of right wheel arch in trunk (W7/8) and secure with cable ties.
The ground point of rear right wheel arch (W7) or the ground point of right wheel arch in trunk (W7/8) may be occupied with a maximum of five lines.
20 Fasten brown line (br) on ground point of rear right wheel arch (W7) or on ground point of right wheel arch in trunk (W7/8).
21 Strap down extended length of brown line (br) and fix in place on existing wiring harness using a cable tie.
