GF54.30-P-6150FL Audio/Comand Display, Component Description
GF54.30-P-6150FL Audio/COMAND Display, Component Description
Component Identification:
Location
The Audio/COMAND display is fitted centrally in the top of the instrument panel.
Task
The Audio/COMAND display represents the uniform user-relevant navigation/operating and information window.
The input factors are read in and displayed via the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Telematics CAN (CAN A)
^ Low voltage differential signal (LVDS) connection
Direct line
The Audio/COMAND display has the following connections:
- Circuit 30g
- Tml. 31
Telematics CAN
The exchange of control data with the individual components as well as diagnosis takes place via the telematics CAN (CAN A).
LVDS connection
This standardized digital interface serves to receive the picture information and video information from the radio (A2) (with code (510) Audio 20 incl. CD changer, with code (523) MB Audio 20 radio), radio with Auto Pilot System (A2/56) (with code (511) Audio 50 APS incl. DVD changer, with code (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio) or COMAND controller unit (A40/3) (with code (512) COMAND APS incl. DVD changer, with code (527) COMAND APS with single DVD drive (with navigation), with code (528) COMAND incl. DVD changer).
Design
"Mid" variant
(with code (510) Audio 20 incl. CD changer, with code (523) MB Audio 20 radio, with code (511) Audio 50 APS incl. DVD changer, with code (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio)
- Fixed 5.8 thin film transistor color screen
- Resolution 400 X 240 pixels
"High" variant
(with code (512) COMAND APS incl. DVD changer, with code (527) COMAND APS with single DVD drive (with navigation), with code (528) COMAND incl. DVD changer):
- Fixed 7 thin film transistor color screen
- Resolution 800 X 480 pixels
Function
The display and the menu presentation is transmitted to the Audio/ COMAND display digitally via an LVDS [low voltage differential signaling] line. The control data (e.g. brightness, display ON or OFF, etc.) are transmitted via the telematics CAN (CAN A).
