1. Check line between component N118 (Fuel pump control module) and component Z3 (Circuit 15 connector sleeve).
Test sequence

- Switch off ignition.
- Disconnect 4-pin plug from component N118 (Fuel pump control module).
- Disconnect 8-pin plug from component N118 (Fuel pump control module).
- Test input signal 'Terminal 15' of component N118 (Fuel pump control module).
- Measure direct voltage with multimeter between sockets (N118) 1.2 and (N118) 2.5
Measure voltage.

- Ignition OFF: 0 V
- Ignition ON: > 11 V
Is the measurement value OK?

YES
The measurement value is OK.Further possible causes of fault

- Inspect plug connections for corrosion, pinched insulation and loose contact.
- Check CAN link to control unit N3/10 (ME-SFI [ME] control unit).
