Test sequence

- Switch off ignition.
- Detach coupling at component R48 (Two-disk thermostat heating element).
- Connect adapter cable no. 220 589 00 99 37 to engine wiring harness R48 (Two-disk thermostat heating element).
- Measure direct voltage with multimeter between ground and socket (R48x1) 2
- Switch on ignition.
Specified value

- Voltage[11...14] V

- Connect 126-pole socket box at engine wiring harness.
- Measure resistance with multimeter between socket (M.9) 9 of the 126-pole socket box tester and socket (R48x1) 1
