SUBJECT: As of MY 2010 with NTG 3.5 Telematics Systems, Models 216 and 221 SPLITVIEW Activation/Deactivation
Due to various state laws, SPLITVIEW is currently only allowed in certain states. As of October 1, 2010, the state of Maryland now allows SPLITVIEW.
All vehicles equipped with SPLITVIEW will arrive with this feature de-activated from the factory. Activation can only occur as outlined in L182.85-P-048667.
SPLITVIEW Activation is only allowed in the following states, including the District of Columbia:
The feature is currently prohibited on vehicles registered in, or functioning on vehicles while traveling through the following 12 states:
To activate SPLITVIEW, connect SDS to the vehicle and ONLY activate after first confirming whether your state prohibited this technology by acknowledging your compliance.
The Dealer is responsible and will be held accountable for ensuring proper activation; or deactivation, if a vehicle with SPLITVIEW that has been previously activated needs to be deactivated before retailed in a prohibited state.
