Check
Always check rear side window (1) when the window (2) in the front door is completely closed.
When the door lining is removed, the short stroke of the window (2) can be activated by clamping a long wedge between the locking eye and the left door contact switch and right door contact switch.
1. Close front door and check dimension "b" between rear side window (1) and window (2).
2. Check transition between window (2) and rear side window (1) (dimension "a").

3. Unscrew bolts (3) and remove cover (4).
4. Unscrew paneling (5) and lay down to side.
5. Remove inner sealing rail (6) from rear side window (1).
6. Carefully loosen outer sealing rail (7) from rear fender.
Ensure that adhesive seam in the outer area of the outer sealing rail (7) is not damaged, otherwise moisture can penetrate and cause corrosion damage.
7. Loosen bolts (8) on clamping jaws (9) with suitable open-end wrench/box wrench.
Secure open end wrench/box wrench in rear fender against falling down with cable strap, etc.
8. Accordingly, move rear side window (1) until dimension b" is adjusted.
The rear side window (1) should make contact in the front clamping jaws (9). Raise or lower the rear clamping jaws (9) so that the window (2) runs parallel.
9. Again check transition between window (2) and rear side window (1) (dimension "a").
10. Slightly lower rear side window (1).
11. Loosen bolt (10) on height adjuster (11) and move height adjuster (11) in the corresponding direction.
Turn bolt (10) to right to loosen.
Move height adjuster (11) on bolt (10) upward to adjust rear side window (1) downward.
Move height adjuster (11) on bolt (10) downward to adjust rear side window (1) upward.
12. Tighten bolt (10) on height adjuster (11) with specified tightening torque.
Turn bolt (10) to left to tighten.
13. Move rear side window (1) to upper end position, again check dimension "a" and dimension "b" and repeat entire adjustment procedure if necessary.
