Location
The right door control unit is located on the door module of the right door behind the door panel.

Task
The right door control unit has the following tasks:
^ Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
^ Evaluation of input factors
^ Actuation of components

Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
The input factors are read in with the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN

Direct line
The following switches and sensors are read in directly via a direct line:
- Right IR receiver unit (A26/2) (with code (880) Closing system with infrared remote control)
- Hall signals for right front power window motor (M10/4)
- Mirror adjustment up/down potentiometer (M21/2r2) (with code (275) Driver seat, steering column and electrically adjustable outside mirror with memory)
- Mirror adjustment in/out potentiometer (M21/2r3) (with code (275) Driver seat, steering column and electrically adjustable outside mirror with memory)
- Front passenger power window switch (S21/2)

Interior CAN
The signals from the following control points of the upper control panel control unit (N72/1) are read in via interior CAN:
- Outside mirror adjustment switch with/without mirror fold-in/out feature ( S50/1) Outside mirror adjustment up/down inward/outward toggle switch (S50/1s1)
- Folding outside mirror in/out switch (S50/1s3) (with code (500) Left/right folding outside mirror)
- Left outside mirror adjustment selection switch (S50/1s6) Right outside mirror adjustment selection switch (S50/1s7)

The following signals are read in by the left door control unit (N69/1) via interior CAN:
- Requests to adjust power window lift (PW)
- Requests to adjust the right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2)

Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.

Components are actuated with the following lines:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN

Direct line
The following components are actuated via a direct line:
- Right door entrance/exit lamp (E17/4)
- Right outside mirror turn signal lamp (E6/6)
- Right front power window motor (M10/4)
- Right door CL motor (M14/5)
- Right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror
- Mirror up/down adjustment motor (M21/2m1)
- Mirror adjustment up/out motor (M21/2m2)
- Power folding mirror (M21/2m3) (with code (500) Left/right folding outside mirror)
- Mirror heater (M21/2r1)

The right door control unit supplies the connected controls with power from circuit 58d.

Interior CAN
The following signals are transmitted via interior CAN:
- Status of power window lifter (PW), passenger side to left door control unit and convertible top mechanism control unit (N52) to release rear side window adjustment
