GF27.19-P-5180ACM Gearshift Solenoid Valve, Component Description

GF27.19-P-5180ACM Gearshift solenoid valve, component description
- TRANSMISSION 722.643/649
- refinement package
- as of model year 09

Component Identification:

Location
The shift solenoid valves are located on the supporting body of the electric controller unit and in each case are pressed against the shift plate by a leaf spring.

Task
The shift solenoid valves introduce the sequence of upshifts; and downshifts in the shift plate. In each case the shift solenoid valves are sealed towards the valve housing of the gearshift by 2 O-rings. The contact springs on the shift solenoid valves grip into a slot in the conductor tracks. The spring force of the contact springs means that reliable contacting is guaranteed.

Component Identification:

Function
If a shift solenoid valve is actuated via the ETC [EGS] control unit (N15/3), it opens and leads the shift valve pressure to the assigned command valve. The respective solenoid valve remains actuated and thus opened until the shift process is completed. The shift valve pressure to the command valve is reduced to zero as soon as the respective solenoid valve is switched de-energized.
