GF82.20-P-2000RI Manual Interior Lights Control, Function
Manual interior lights control, general
The manual interior lights control allows the interior illumination, reading illumination, vanity mirror illumination, the glove compartment illumination and the stowage compartment illumination to be switched on and off.
Operating the switches on the housing of the overhead control panel control unit (N70) provides the relevant components with power.
The manual interior lights control feature comprises the following subfunctions:
^ Function sequence for interior illumination
^ Function sequence for reading illumination
^ Function sequence for vanity mirror illumination
^ Function sequence for glove compartment illumination
^ Function sequence for stowage compartment lighting
Function sequence for interior illumination
The following interior illumination component can be switched on and off manually by operating the relevant switch:
- The front dome lamp (N70e1) via the dome lamp ON and OFF switch (N70s4)
The power supply to the front dome lamp is interrupted by operating the dome lamp ON and OFF switch again or automatically after t = 30 min after circuit 15 off, in order to protect the on-board electrical system battery (G1).
Function sequence for reading illumination
The reading illumination serves to illuminate a defined area in front of the user, without having a distracting dazzling effect on the driver.
The following reading illumination components can be switched on and off manually by operating the relevant switch:
- Left reading lamp (A67e1) via the left reading lamp switch (N70s6)
- Right reading lamp (A67e2) via the right reading lamp switch (N70s7)
The power supply to the reading lamps is interrupted by operating the reading lamp switches again or automatically after t = 30 min after circuit 15 off, in order to protect the on-board electrical system battery.
Function sequence for vanity mirror illumination
The following components for the vanity mirror illumination can be switched on and off manually by folding the corresponding mirror cover open and closing it:
- Left vanity mirror illumination (E14/6) via the left vanity mirror illumination switch (S101)
- Right vanity mirror illumination (E14/7) via the right vanity mirror illumination switch (S102)
The power is supplied via the overhead control panel control unit. The vehicle ground is switched through via the vanity mirror illumination switches.
To preserve the on-board electrical system battery, the power supply is interrupted automatically after t = 30 min after circuit 15 Off.
Function sequence for glove compartment illumination
The glove box illumination with switch (E13/2) is provided with power by the front passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11). When the glove compartment door is opened, power is switched through to the glove box illumination.
The power supply of the glove box illumination is interrupted by closing the glove compartment door or automatically after t = 15 min after bus idle in order to protect the on-board electrical system battery.
Additional stowage compartment lighting function requirements
^ Circuit 58d ON
Function sequence for stowage compartment lighting
The armrest stowage compartment illumination (E36) cannot be switched on and off manually.
The power supply for the armrest stowage compartment illumination is provided after the status of circuit 58d has been transmitted by the overhead control panel control unit. With circuit 58d off, the armrest stowage compartment illumination is switched off.
