GF80.20-P-4009RI Automatic Locking, Function

GF80.20-P-4009RI Automatic Locking, Function

Function requirements, general
^ Central locking (CL) unlocked and
^ Function activated via the instrument cluster (A1)

Automatic locking, general
The vehicle is automatically locked under certain conditions.

The automatic locking function comprises the following partial functions:
^ Function sequence for locking, depending on vehicle speed
^ Function sequence for automatic relocking

Function sequence for locking, depending on vehicle speed
The vehicle is locked depending on the vehicle speed:
- Vehicle speed v > 3 km/h
- Locking trunk lid

- Vehicle speed v > 15 km/h
- Additionally locking doors

The pneumatic controller unit with combined functions (A37) recognizes when the limit values are exceeded by evaluating the speed signal from the instrument cluster and then actuates the corresponding actuators to unlock or lock.

Moreover, the pneumatic controller unit with combined functions enables or disables the opening request from trunk lid external operation switch (S88/8).

The vehicle can be unlocked again by opening a door from the inside or with the inside CL open switch (S6/5s2).
If the vehicle is unlocked with the inside CL open switch, it remains unlocked at speeds above the corresponding limit value.
The vehicle is returned to the initial state when one of the doors is opened or circuit 15 is switched on and off again.
If a door is opened while driving and then closed again, and the vehicle speed is above the limit for automatic locking, the door is locked again after it is closed.

Additional function requirements for automatic relocking
^ CL unlocked with transmitter key (A8/1)

Function sequence for automatic relocking
After the vehicle is unlocked with the transmitter key, a waiting time of t = 40 s starts.
After expiration of this waiting time, the vehicle is relocked if a door or the trunk lid has not been opened previously.
Visual feedback is not performed.

The automatic relocking function also activates the anti-theft alarm system (ATA).
