GF80.20-P-3009RI Locking/Unlocking Vehicle With Inside Switch, Function
GF80.20-P-3009RI Locking/Unlocking Vehicle With Inside Switch, Function
General function requirements
- Vehicle must not be locked from outside with transmitter key (A8/1)
Locking/unlocking vehicle with inside switch, function, general
The central locking (CL) can be operated via:
- 'Unlock CL [ZV]' interior switch (S6/5s2)
- 'Lock CL [ZV]' interior switch and ATA function indicator (S6/5s3)
- Remote trunk opening switch (S15) without code (881) Remote trunk closing (RTC))
- Trunk lid open/close switch, driver (S15/3) (with code (881) Remote trunk closing (RTC))
The function locking/unlocking vehicle with interior switch comprises the following partial functions:
^ Function sequence for locking/unlocking CL
^ Function sequence for trunk lid emergency opening (with code (494) USA version)
Function sequence for locking/unlocking CL
Actuation of the inside CL open switch or lock CL [ZV] interior switch and ATA [EDW] function indicator is read in by the upper control panel control unit (N72) and transmitted to the pneumatic controller unit with combined functions (A37) via interior CAN. Actuation of remote trunk opening switch or driver-side trunk lid open/close switch is read in by the left door control unit (N69/1) and transmitted to the pneumatic controller unit with combined functions via interior CAN.
The pneumatic controller unit with combined functions then actuates the corresponding actuators and the remote trunk opening CL valve (Y65/3) to lock or unlock.
Moreover, the pneumatic controller unit with combined functions enables or disables the opening request from trunk lid external operation switch (S88/8).
The tank cap always remains unlocked when locking with the inside CL close switch and ATA function indicator.
Enabled locking functions depending on door status:
Driver door open:
- Only unlocking possible
Driver or passenger door open:
- Locking inhibited
Opening a door from the inside when the CL is locked:
Every door can always be opened from the inside. At least the corresponding door is opened mechanically. If the vehicle was unlocked globally before locking, the CL is actuated centrally.
The door status is sensed by the left door contact switch (S17/3) and right door contact switch (S17/4).
The status of the trunk lid is sensed by the locking pawl rotary tumbler switch (S88/4).
They are read in by the rear SAM control unit (N10/8) and their status is transmitted via interior CAN
Function sequence for trunk lid emergency opening
This function is always activated (regardless of the CL status), because it allows the trunk lid to be opened by a person trapped in the trunk.
The trunk lid emergency release (S88/10) is located on the inside of the trunk lid and read in by the pneumatic controller unit with combined functions.
When actuating the trunk lid emergency release , the pneumatic controller unit with combined functions actuates the remote trunk opening CL to unlock the trunk lid.
The trunk lid emergency opening function is also then performed, when the trunk lid is locked with the trunk lid locking switch (S134) (with code (887) Valet Parking).
