GF80.20-P-2006RI Closing Trunk Lid, Function
GF80.20-P-2006RI Closing Trunk Lid, Function
- with CODE (881) Remote trunk closing (RTC [HDFS])
Function requirements, general
^ Trunk lid normalized
^ No overvoltage or undervoltage
^ Vario roof in locked end position (open or closed)
^ Vehicle stationary
Remote trunk closing, general
The remote trunk closing allows trunk lid to be closed hydraulically.
The remote trunk closing comprises the following partial functions:
^ Function sequence for closing trunk lid via driver-side trunk lid open/close switch (S15/3)
^ Function sequence for closing trunk lid via RTC [HDFS] button (S62/26) (without code (889) Keyless Go)
^ Function sequence for closing trunk lid via RTC [HDFS] button (with code (889) Keyless Go)
^ Function sequence for hydraulic actuation
Function sequence for closing trunk lid via driver-side trunk lid open/close switch
The trunk lid can be closed from the vehicle interior via the driver-side trunk lid open/close switch. For this purpose, it is necessary to actuate the driver-side trunk lid open/close switch during the entire closing operation. When the actuation is interrupted, closing is stopped. Actuation of the driver-side trunk lid open/close switch is read in by the left door control unit (N69/1) and transmitted to the pneumatic controller unit with combined functions (A37) and RVC control unit (N52) via interior CAN.
The rear SAM control unit (N10/8) reads in the status of the pawl rotary tumbler switch (S88/4) and transmits the signal "Trunk lid unlocked" to the pneumatic controller unit and the RVC control unit.
The RVC control unit then actuates the RVC hydraulic unit (A7/5) to close the trunk lid. The RVC control unit monitors the closing procedure via the trunk lid position sensor (B24/16). The pneumatic controller unit recognizes locking via the pawl rotary tumbler switch. Then the trunk lid is completely closed pneumatically by the power closing via the CL remote trunk opening valve (Y65/3).
Function sequence for closing trunk lid via RTC [HDFS] button
Actuation of the RTC [HDFS] button is read in by the pneumatic controller unit and transmitted to the RVC control unit via interior CAN. The RVC control unit then actuates the RVC control unit to close the trunk lid. The RVC control unit monitors the closing procedure using the trunk lid position sensor.
The pneumatic controller unit recognizes locking via the pawl rotary tumbler switch. Then the trunk lid is completely closed pneumatically by the power closing via the CL remote trunk opening valve.
Function sequence for closing trunk lid via RTC [HDFS] button (with code (889) Keyless Go)
With code (889) Keyless Go, the RTC button is designed as a two-piece element. When the left button is actuated, the trunk lid is closed, when the right button is actuated, the trunk lid is closed and then the vehicle is locked.
The function sequence is identical to closing the trunk lid with the RTC button (without code (889) Keyless-Go).
In addition, a check is made for a valid transmitter key (A8/1) outside the vehicle. The access authorization is checked by the EIS control unit (N73) and transmitted to the KEYLESS control unit (N69/5) via interior CAN.
If a valid transmitter key is recognized and if this key is not in the vehicle interior, the vehicle is additionally locked pneumatically after closing the trunk lid.
If, during activated remote trunk closing, the RTC [HDFS] button is actuated again, this is evaluated as emergency stop and the trunk remote control is interrupted.
Function sequence for hydraulic actuation
The RVC control unit then actuates the RVC hydraulic unit to open to trunk lid. The RVC hydraulic unit contains the RTC proportioning valve (A7/5y3).
The hydraulic volume flow is transmitted to the distribution block via the RTC proportioning valve. The distribution block distributes the hydraulic volume to the hydraulic cylinder.
