Complaint:

The message "Backup battery fault" appears in the display.

The internal resistance specified value stored in the SAM is too low. The additional battery is thus found to be defective during the test by the SAM even though the additional battery is still OK.

Cause:

Diagnosis limits for internal resistance stored in SAM are too low.

Remedy:

As of January 8, 2010, this LI must not be performed on the following vehicles: Model 212 - Serial No. A000977 to A092538, Covered under Service Campaign No. 2009110003

Combining this LI with the above referenced Campaign will result in a charge back of this LI.
