Campaign - Night View Assist Software Update

Update Software for Night View Assist

This Service Campaign has been initiated because Daimler AG (DAG) has determined that the software for the Night View Assist may not meet current production specifications. As a result temporary interruptions of the picture of the Night View Assist system may occur. Dealers will update the software for the Night View Assist at the next workshop visit.

Prior to performing this Service Campaign:

^ Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously repaired.

^ Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as described.

Please note that Recall and Service Campaigns do not expire and may also be performed on a vehicle with a vehicle status indicator.

Approximately 27 vehicles are affected.

Procedure

Note:
^ Use DAS/Xentry 07/09 with all associated patches or higher.

^ Follow the steps exactly as described in DAS/Xentry.

^ Connect battery charger (battery voltage >12.5V).

1. Connect Star Diagnosis to vehicle.

2. Install Night View Assist software:

Follow DAS path: Control units/Information and communication/NSA - Night View Assist (Vehicle dynamics CAN bus)/Control unit adaptations/Control module programming.
