Steps 2 to 5 only with vehicles with code (580) Automatic air conditioning
2 Route black antenna line connector of antenna line (1) through cable duct (arrow A) of center console (9) using a pull-through tool.
The center console (9) does not need to be removed. It is shown removed for the purpose of illustration only.
3 Route antenna line (1), as shown, along right side of selector lever module and route into right footwell at level of right rear floor covering (10) between center console (9) and floor panel.
4 Pull antenna line (1) approx. 100 mm out of center console (9) toward the rear, as shown in picture A.
5 Secure antenna line (1) to side (arrow B) of center console (9) with felt tape.
Steps 6 to 10 only with vehicles with code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning
6 Route antenna line (1) next to rear blower motor (M2/1) and secure with cable ties (11) and felt tape (12) as shown.
Black antenna line connector of antenna line (1) must protrude out of rear area (arrow C) of center console (9) by approx. 100 mm.
If the antenna line (1) cannot be routed next to the rear blower motor (M2/1) due to the thickness of the line, the felt tape in the vicinity of the rear blower motor (M2/1) must be removed.
7 Route power supply wiring harness (2) next to rear blower motor (M2/1) and secure with cable ties (11) and felt tape (12) as shown.
Power supply wiring harness (2) must protrude out of rear area (arrow C) of center console (9) by approx. 100 mm.
8 Position center console (9) in vehicle, routing antenna line (1) at right side of selector lever module and power supply wiring harness (2) at left side of selector lever module.
9 Route antenna line (1) into right footwell at level of right rear floor covering (10) between center console (9) and floor panel.
10 Route power supply wiring harness (2) along broken line into slot of radio.
The center console (9) and the power supply wiring harness (2) are installed later.
11 Route antenna line (1) in right footwell beneath air duct (14) to cable duct (13).
12 Route antenna line (1) through cable duct (13) towards the rear using a pull-through tool.
13 Open cover (15) of rear cable duct and route antenna line (1) in cable duct.
14 Open cover (16) of bracket (17).
