Check
1. Open front door and clamp long wedge between locking eye and left door contact switch and right door contact switch.
The short stroke function of the crank window (1) is activated.
2. Move crank window (1) to upper end position.Move front door to first lock catch and check path of crank window (1) in relation to roof edge.
The top edge of the crank window (1) should run parallel to the roof edge. The gap between the top edge of the crank window (1) and the A-pillar should be approx. 1 mm smaller than the gap between the top edge of the crank window (1) and the roof edge.
3. Open front door and check whether over-expansion (C) of door sealing frame (2) through crank window (1) in area of mirror triangle.
Over-expansion (C) of door sealing frame (2) should be approx. 1.0 mm.
Adjust
It is necessary to remove the door lining from the front door, the left door or right door speaker group when adjusting the crank window (1) as well as loosening the door foil (3) on the inner door panel.
4. Turn height adjuster (5) approx. 5 turn downward.
5. Enter vehicle, close front door and move crank window (1) to upper end position.
6. Press height adjuster (6) over recesses on inner door panel with suitable screwdriver (4) upward to corresponding limit stop.
Both height adjusters (5) should reach their limit stops simultaneously, e.g. the crank window (1) should not tilt when moving up.
7. Lower crank window (1), open front door, exit vehicle and move crank window (1) to upper limit stop.Check whether both height adjusters (5) reach their limit stops simultaneously, if necessary repeat adjustment.
8. Check over-expansion (C) of door sealing frame (2) through crank window (1) in area of mirror triangle; adjust if necessary.
The door sealing frame (2) should be stretched approx. 1.0 mm.
9. Lower crank window (1), mark installation position of wedge shim (6) in relation to front clamping jaws (8) and loosen bolt (7).
Do not relocate adjustment position of wedge shim (9).
10. Move crank window (1) to upper end position and adjust over-expansion (C) of door sealing frame (2) by raising or lowering crank window (1).
Over-expansion (C) of door sealing frame (2) should be approx. 1.0 mm.
11. Lower crank window (1) and tighten bolt (7) in front clamping jaw (8) with specified tightening torque.
If necessary, correct installation position of wedge shim (9) using marking.
12. Turn both height adjusters (5) 2 turns downward.
13. Enter vehicle, close front door and move crank window (1) to upper end position.
14. Press height adjuster (5) over recesses on inner door panel (4) with suitable screwdriver upward to corresponding limit stop.
Both height adjusters (5) should reach their limit stops simultaneously, e.g. the crank window (1) should not tilt when moving up.
