Component Identification:

Location
The IR receiver units are located in the door handle of the corresponding door.

Task
The IR receiver unit receives the infrared signals from the transmitter key (A8/1) and relays them to the left door control unit (N69/1) or the right door control unit (N69/2). The door control unit transmits the signals via interior CAN.

The following signals can be received:
- Global locking and unlocking central locking (CL)
- Selective unlocking
- Remote trunk release
- Convenience opening and closing
