Location
The electronic selector lever module control unit is located under the center console between the two front seats.

Task

General
The electronic selector lever module control unit records the positions of the selector lever (non-contact) using inductive sensors.
The selector lever positions and touch shifts carried out are detected in a non-contact manner by means of optoelectronic switches. A photoelectric barrier is closed or interrupted each time the position of the selector lever is changed.

Basic functions
- Read in transmission mode switch signals
- Transmission of selector lever positions "P, R, N, D" and touch shifts "1, 2, 3, 4, 5"

Flash programming
The electronic selector lever module control unit is flashable. The software for the electronic selector lever module control unit can be renewed or updated using Star Diagnosis.

Controller Area Network (data bus/CAN bus) (CAN)
The electronic selector lever module control unit is connected via the engine compartment CAN (CAN C) to the vehicle's CAN network, and exchanges data with other control units.
