Location
The frontal acceleration sensors are located at the left and right on the front module.

Task
The frontal acceleration sensors determine the acceleration value of the vehicle front for the left and right sides of the vehicle.

The restraint systems control unit (N2/7) uses these values to decide whether or not the emergency tensioning retractor or airbag units are deployed.
