Component Identification:

Location
The fuel manifold is located between the cylinder heads, on the fuel injection valves.

Task
- Supply the fuel injection valves with fuel in all operating conditions
- Fuel pressure pulsation damping
- Check and reduce the fuel pressure for diagnostic or assembly operations

Design
The fuel injection valves are installed in the fuel distribution rail with an O-ring and a retaining clamp.

Function
The pressure measuring connection with service valve makes it possible to check the fuel pressure for diagnostic purposes and to reduce the fuel pressure during installation work.
