Removal and Replacement




AR54.10-P-0005TA Remove/Install Battery







Danger:
- Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.


1 Disconnect ground cable (1) of battery (G1)
2 Remove positive terminal cover (2)
3 Slacken nut (3) and disconnect positive lead (4) from battery (G1)
4 Unclip cover (5) and detach vent hose (6) from battery (G1)
5 Unscrew bolt (7) and take off bracket (8)
6 Detach retaining strap (9) and remove battery (G1) from load compartment

NOTE: Use supporting bracket.

7 Install in the reverse order
