AR67.10-P-1000-04TS Align Windshield In Body Opening
- with CODE (Z04) Light armoring
Aid of helper is required for positioning, aligning and prying out the windshield (1). Position suction lifting device in upper third of windshield (1). The windshield (1) must be installed at an acute angle to the A-pillars, otherwise the installation operation is unnecessarily difficult and the windshield (1) can hit against the body flange and be damaged
1. Center windshield (1) above body opening, center in relation to A-pillars and lower slowly and carefully.
Align windshield (1) above rubber window spacers while still suspended. If the gross weight of the windshield (1) is placed on the rubber windshield spacers alone, they can tilt when correcting the installation position of the windshield (1), damaging the windshield (1).
2. Adjust gap dimension between windshield (1) and front edge of roof (dimension a).
Dimension a, approx. 2 mm.
3. Center gap dimension between left and right A-pillar and windshield (1) (area A).
4. Lower windshield (1) onto rubber window spacers and measure transition between windshield (1) and front edge of roof with a straight edge.
The transition should be flush and should not deviate more than 1 mm upward or downward. If heights deviate, compensate differences with rubber window spacers.
5. Mark installation position of windshield (1) by gluing on suitable strips of tape (arrow) in area of front edge of roof and cut through strips of tape (arrows) at top edge of apex seal.
6. Carefully lift windshield (1) from body flange with aid of helper.
