AR41.10-P-0086-03T Correcting Front Inclination Angle at Transmission
AR41.10-P-0086-03T Correcting Front Inclination Angle at Transmission
Correct the front articulation angle (angle 1)
For inclination angle correction at the engine crossmember or at the rear engine mount, mount shop-made shims.
A 1 mm shim changes the articulation angle by approx. 0.17°.
The bolt length should be increased by 5 mm when using shims with a thickness of >2 mm.
If a shim with thickness of >5 mm is required, the front and rear engine mounts must be checked for signs of settling or wear and replaced if necessary.
1 Support transmission with transmission jack and transmission platform.
2 Detach rear engine crossmember (34).
3 Depending on the correction insert the shop-made shims between the rear engine crossmember (34) and frame floor or between the rear engine mount and the rear engine crossmember (34).
The dimension for the shims must be taken from the corresponding part; see the pictures below.
4 Mount rear engine crossmember (34).
5 Remove transmission jack and transmission platform.
