Component Identification:





1 Set the fender flange in several stages in the marked area (B).

Use a plastic mallet to avoid damaging paint.

Carefully heat outer edges of fender to max. 70 to 80 degrees C using a hot air blower.

Do not overheat paint when heating up (maximum 80 degrees C). Repair any damage to the paint

2 Check tire clearance with a fully compressed rear axle and of necessary intensify the rework.
3 When the rear axle is compressed, check the clearance between the tire and rear apron end face or wheelhouse insert (in the region of the transition rear apron/side piece).

If necessary make the clearance by reworking.

4 Re-preserve wheel housing with underfloor protection and spray the repositioned fender edges with cavity preservation.
