The vehicle has Mercedes-Benz (MB) telematics services:
^ Roadside assistance call (telediagnosis, roadside assistance)
^ MB information call

MB information call
The "MB Info" service allows the customer to get in contact with a Daimler Information Center. This information service can provide users with updated information (such as on current traffic conditions and possible detours) or Daimler-specific additional information. This service is primarily an oral information service that is provided via the communications module in the emergency call system control unit (N123/4). The user activates this service by pressing the MB-Info and breakdown assistance button group (S93/6).

If the service is authorized and no service of a higher-priority is active, the emergency call system control unit sends a message via Short Message Service (SMS) to the service center. The SMS contains the following data:
^ Vehicle position
^ Customer identification data
^ Vehicle identification data

At the same time as the SMS message is sent, a voice connection is established to the service center, and the user can speak to a customer service representative. If the service center is unable to establish a connection to the vehicle, the emergency call system control unit then attempts to establish a connection from the vehicle to the service center. The information service is a free service provided by Mercedes-Benz Customer Service.
