GF82.95-P-2008TM Telediagnosis, Function
- with CODE (359) TELE AID emergency call system

The vehicle has Mercedes-Benz (MB) telematics services:
^ Roadside assistance call (telediagnosis, roadside assistance)
^ MB information call

Roadside assistance call (telediagnosis, roadside assistance)
The telediagnosis service allows the user to get in contact with the service center, such as in the event of a problem with the vehicle. The service center can then use additional vehicle-specific data to make a remote diagnosis of the situation, and based on its findings, initiate appropriate assistance measures. If the MB-Info and breakdown assistance button group (S93/6) is pressed, a message is automatically sent to the service center via Short Message Service (SMS).

During a roadside assistance call, the following data are automatically transmitted:
^ Vehicle position
^ Customer identification data
^ Vehicle identification data
^ Condition data
^ Fault code

The service center can also request additional vehicle status data and fault codes from the emergency call system control unit (N123/4) via SMS. After the service center has evaluated these data, it will place a call to the vehicle. In this way, the exact situation and further service steps can be discussed and agreed on by the driver and the service center.
