Telediagnosis is a supplement to the TELE AID emergency call system. The objective of the telediagnosis service is quick and aimed support of the "24 h service".
The telediagnosis is triggered manually by the driver in the event of technical problems.

Starting telediagnosis
The telediagnosis button (S93/6s2) is located in the center armrest next to the telephone handset (A34) (wrench symbol).
If it is pressed for more than 2 seconds, the message "telediagnosis making call" appears in the instrument cluster (A1). If the voice connection to the center is set up, the message "telediagnosis connection active" appears.

The position and vehicle data transmitted to the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center (CAC) are required for quick and reliable processing of the breakdown situation. If the fault can be eliminated with the aid of the diagnosis experts, the telediagnosis is completed. If the fault is not rectified, the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center (CAC) takes further remedial measures. This function can be disabled in the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3) in the Service menu.
If local help is required, position data are taken over into a mapping program with an electronic card. This serves for determining the vehicle location and the next MB service center. The latter is informed and receives the required vehicle data from the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center (CAC) to start remedial measures.
