GF07.16-P-3011P CDI External Quantity Intervention, Function
GF07.16-P-3011P CDI External Quantity Intervention, Function
ENGINE 642 in MODEL 209.3 /4, 211.0 /2 /6, 219.3
ENGINE 642 in MODEL 461.3, 463.3 up to 31.5.12
ENGINE 642 in MODEL 203.0 /2 up to Model Year 2008
The CDI control unit (N3/9) intervenes with an external quantity intervention if an increase or decrease on the engine speed and engine load is requested from another system. For this purpose, the CDI control unit communicates with the following control units via the Controller Area Network bus Class C (engine compartment) (CAN C):
^ Electronic selector lever module control unit (N15/5) for the selector lever position
^ ESP and BAS control unit (N47-5) (model 203, 209, 463) or ESP control unit (N47-5) (model 211, 219), for the message "Drive torque regulation active"
^ Fully integrated transmission control, control unit (Y3/8n4), for the message "FW_HIGH", air drag and rolling resistance high (except model 461)
^ ETC [EGS] control unit (N15/3), for the message "FW_HIGH", air drag and rolling resistance high (model 461)
^ EIS [EZS] control unit (N73), for the message "CRASH_1", rollover event 1 (except model 461)
^ EIS [EZS] control unit, for the message "COMP_ON", refrigerant compressor (A9) activated (except model 461)
The CDI control unit increases or decreases the injection quantity. In order to adapt the injection quantity, the fuel pressure in the rail is increased or decreased by the pressure regulator valve (Y74) and the quantity control valve (Y94) via the CDI control unit. At the same time the actuation time of the fuel injectors (Y76) is extended or shortened appropriately.
If the CDI control unit receives the message "CRASH_1", it interrupts the fuel supply in order to stop fuel escaping and to stop the engine.
