B2/7b1 Intake air temperature sensor

Location
The intake air temperature sensors are integrated in the left hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/6) and the right hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/7) respectively.

Task
They detect the intake air temperature and transmits a corresponding voltage signal to the CDI control unit (N3/9).

Body
The intake air temperature sensor possesses an integral measuring resistor with negative temperature coefficients (NTC)

Function
The corresponding NTC measuring resistor alters its electrical resistance in line with the intake air temperature. The electrical resistance decreases as the temperature rises.
