Auxiliary Cabin Heater Control Valve: Service and Repair

AR83.70-P-6000T Remove/Install Coolant Circuit Solenoid Valve
- with CODE (228) Stationary heater or retrofitted staionary heater







1 Disconnect ground cable of battery
2 Remove front section of fender liner in front fender

NOTE: Front piece on right.

3 Disconnect plug and socket connection (5)
4 Disconnect coolant hoses (1) with clamps (3)

NOTE: Collect escaping coolant in a clean vessel and return to the coolant expansion tank following installation of the solenoid valve (2).

5 Disconnect coolant hoses (1) from solenoid valve (2)
6 Undo nuts (4) and remove clamp on solenoid valve (2)
- Nut, solenoid valve to bracket: 4 N.m

7 Remove solenoid valve (2) from bracket
8 Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence

Testing
9 Inspect cooling system for leaks.
