Location
The SDAR control unit is located behind the trunk lining at the right side of the trunk.

Task
The SDAR control unit has the following tasks:
^ Receive signals for satellite S-band and terrestrial S-band with the integrated traffic information signals via a coaxial line from the SDAR antenna (A2/49a4).
^ Decoding and amplifying the signals for satellite S-band and terrestrial S-band
^ Transmitting the signals (audio, data, traffic information) to the COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) via the Media Oriented System Transport (MOST).
